Join seasoned circus performer and teacher Joaquin Alejandro from the Trivenchi Circus School as he brings the joys and secrets of circus back bending techniques to our studio.

Joaquin combines various methodologies, including: contortion, Iyengar Yoga, rhythmic gymnastics, and Contemporary Dance to help students create natural back bends without pain.

This workshop has two main objects:

1.) Teach students to prevent, heal, and relieve pain caused by intensive physical training of ineffective alignment in back bends.

2.) Give tools to make their yoga or circus postures more effective, natural, and deeper.

Strong in flexibility and flexible in strength—this is what Joaquin guides his students to accomplish. This class includes working with elastic bands for external resistance and alignment awareness, back waves for active flexibility, acrobatics, drop backs, and scorpion pose. Detail-oriented instruction will be provided to help students achieve their perfect line.
